The Commercial Registration and Licensing Sector (DED) announced the addition of 53 new business activities to vital sectors during the first half of 2019. The total number of commercial activities reached more than 2,200 businesses. The move comes after the sector's periodic review of the needs of the local market, the principle of supply and demand, as well as the Dubai Economic Strategy to facilitate the business of commercial licensees and to provide their activities and market needs, which contributes to the realization of their development projects.

"This addition to the new activities comes within the framework of careful study of the current situation of the market and the survey of the views and proposals of business owners of licenses and those wishing to start business in the Emirate of Dubai, to know their needs and meet the requirements of the local market, which is undergoing continuous changes and developments. Activities Guide

The Dubai Economic Directory (EDC) has launched the Economic Activities Guide, which demonstrates the mechanism of doing business and business activities in the Emirate of Dubai. The guide is a standard reference for economic classifications and contributes effectively to clarifying the various economic activities in the emirate. The Economic Activities Guide contains all information and explanations about licenses, registration mechanism, establishment of companies in various commercial activities, legal forms, as well as some licensing procedures such as site relocation, change of manager and license freeze.
