10-year-old Ebba Andersson has reached the age of 22, she has taken nine pallet places in the World Cup, won a World Cup gold in relay and established herself as one of the world's foremost cross-country skiers.
Now the Swede is back after the knee injury that stopped her from the initial competitions - and that the season debut is just in Tour de Ski is extra special.
- I've sat benched every edition, it's a form of competition that I think is very fun to follow and it should be really fun to get to it now. It is with excitement that I go into this tour.
From what you saw from the tour in previous years on TV, is there something that you remember extra - that has stuck out?
- The biggest thing I thought was when Charlotte won the tour. I was ten years old and sat benched every race. With Charlotte being the great role model for me, it was so fun to see her succeed as she did. It's something that has really followed me.
Now you're both here, how are you?
- Great fun to be out here with Charlotte again.
But given the knee injury, Andersson is not sure where she stands.
- I know that not really where I stand in relation to the world elite. I'm pretty expectant if I'm to be honest. I believe and hope it will suit me well. There are quite a few distance races that have been where I have managed the best so far in my career. I'm really looking forward to competing again.
