On July 16, 1944, a partisan parade was held on the Hippodrome field in Minsk to mark the liberation of the capital of the BSSR from the Nazi occupation. He was held as a sign of special respect for the people's avengers and their role in the offensive operation of the Soviet army "Bagration" against the German army group "Center". The parade and solemn meeting was attended by fighters of about 30 partisan brigades. In total, the event was attended by about 50 thousand local residents and about 30 thousand partisans.
