A dedicated platform was opened on Friday so that all French citizens from the age of 16 can learn what to do in the event of an attack or terrorist attack.

An initiatory path with steps. This is how the government designed "Facing Together", an online course dedicated to the conduct to be taken in the event of an attack or terrorist attack. The platform, launched Friday, is for all French over 16 years.

"The idea is that it is not too long: around 20 minutes per training unit," says Pascal Bolot, director of protection and state security at the General Secretariat for Defense and Defense. national security. These units make it possible to understand the terrorist threat, to anticipate it, but also to learn the good reflexes in the face of an attacker, such as putting out his cell phone, hiding, or not running to the police, who are also , stressed.

Rely on the experience feedback from the attacks

"People must be able to easily connect to the subway, for example, and follow a unit," says Pascal Bolot. Each has been designed based on the experience of the attacks for four years. "We progress, and in the end there is a questionnaire that allows to know what has been retained."

The purpose of this online course? "If we manage to avoid an attack, we will have won our bet of course, even if it is only an event that we will have foiled or stopped", summarizes Pascal Bolot. Elected officials and all those who welcome the public or organize events also have their awareness module. The government is counting on the registration of nearly 100,000 French people over 16 by next year.
