Earlier this month, the Girl of Peace exhibition was exhibited in Japan and stopped in three days under pressure from the far right and the threat of terrorism. The Japanese art director of this exhibition visited Korea and said that the hearts of Japanese people who saw the girl's image moved.

Tsuda Daisuke Aichi Triennial art director, who attended a debate in Seoul, said the Japanese 'reaction to the girl's image was favorable.

He also apologized for the decision to remove the statue, but for lack of prior notice.

Yuka Okamoto, executive director of the Girl Awards Exhibition, said there was not only an aggressive reaction at the time of the exhibition.

[Okamoto Yuka / Executive Commissioner: Of course, people who showed a destructive and aggressive attitude toward the Girl of Peace Award also came. When such a person comes (another audience), it's a work of art, let's be quiet, and let's look at history.

He says the case should see the real picture of Japanese society where censorship is rampant.

[Okamoto Yuka / Executive Commissioner: 40% of (right wing attack) deal with the king system. (Japanese) is a real look. If you don't see it, it's hard to cover the core of the Japanese problem.]

They emphasized the solidarity of artists and citizens from both countries in Japan to prevent attacks and censorship by the Japanese right wing.
