The novelist Maxime Chattam interviewed in the premises of 20 Minutes - Olivier Juszczak / 20 Minutes

Do you like reading and even more writing? Sharpen your pen: the “Prix 20 Minutes du roman” is for you. Launched this Friday under the aegis of a jury chaired by the novelist Maxime Chattam, the winner of our writing competition will have his novel published by the end of the year.

A theme, "the future belongs to youth"

No privileged literary genre, only the theme is imposed for this first edition: "the future belongs to the youth". Because 20 Minutes has been interested since its creation in the dreams and aspirations of its youngest readers. And our president godfather did not miss the opportunity to deliver some advice to those who would like to embark without delay on the adventure of writing…

Convinced? You have until April 19 to send us your manuscript on a dedicated platform: www.lesnouveauxauteurs.com/prix20minutes.

For the more curious, the rules are posted online. The others will be content with knowing that a first selection will be made in the spring by the readers of the platform "Les Nouveaux Auteurs", set up by our partner Prisma media. The jury for the " 20 Minutes of the Novel Prize", which includes editorial journalists and readers of the " 20 Minutes books" platform, will then select, during the summer, the three or four finalists from a dozen retained titles. At the start of the school year, the winner, the one who has best combined the literary equation "respect for the imposed theme, quality of writing, originality and coherence of the story", will be chosen during a deliberation between the jury and its president, Maxime Chattam. Without being essential, resonances with current events can be appreciated.

The prize awarded to VIS! ION

The name of the winner will be announced at the next edition of our next VIS! ONS event, scheduled for the end of the year. And the novel, co-published by Les Nouveaux Auteurs, Prisma media and 20 Minutes , will go on sale immediately.
