从1月8日开始，一场来势汹汹的疫情让天津成为首个要“硬刚”奥密克戎的城市，而处在疫情风暴中心的民众如何应对，也成为外界的牵挂。为了居民健康安全，天津官方快速应对，连续开展多次全员核酸检测，这也让在津外籍人士得以体验“中国式”抗疫，有些留学生甚至被气氛感染，志愿参与疫情防控一线工作。
在天津大学北洋园校区，巴基斯坦籍留学生穆帅迅速报名，为该校第三轮全员核酸检测提供志愿服务。他说：“看到身边的老师和同学们没日没夜奋战在校园抗疫第一线，我特别感动，也想增加一份力量。”
1月14日，在南开大学津南校区全员第四轮核酸检测现场，来自环境科学与工程学院的巴基斯坦籍硕士研究生贺达在维持秩序。从中午12点到夜晚10点半，他与同胞、来自药学院的硕士研究生伊苏娅，旅游与服务学院埃及籍博士研究生安然组成的留学生志愿者小分队，在辅导员孙伟的带领下一直坚守岗位。
“我一直在中国留学，亲身体会到中国政府为了疫情防控付出了多少。中国是巴基斯坦最好的朋友，中国政府和中国人民给了我来中国学习的机会，我希望在中国需要的时候能做点什么。”贺达说道。
“我第一次当志愿者，体会到了他们的不易。”埃及籍博士研究生安然说，核酸检测、隔离管理、后勤保障等等，这些天，真切地感受到疫情防控需要众人拾柴，共抵寒冷。“我们在学校生活依然便利，什么都可以买到，在这里很安心、很放心，当志愿者是一种回馈。”
南开大学亚美尼亚籍留学生秦梦兰虽然住在校外，但学校也与她保持着密切联系，社区工作人员也主动联系她。按时排队参加核酸检测的秦梦兰说，在抗疫中看到了中国政府和人民的力量。

When volunteering in the community, Wang Xizhu, a teacher from the General Education College of Tianjin Foreign Studies University, provided translation and consultation for foreigners from Spain, India and other countries, allowing more foreigners to actively participate in and cooperate with Tianjin's epidemic prevention and control.
Foreigners have expressed that they are very happy to see that people in the whole city act quickly. With such an efficient, orderly, solidarity and mutual assistance, Tianjin will definitely be able to overcome the epidemic.
