The Organizing Committee of the World Aviation Industry Summit announced the date of the sixth session of the summit, which will be hosted by Mubadala Investment Company “Mubadala” in Abu Dhabi, from 24 to 26 May 2022, directly and in person, with the participation of a number of leaders in the aviation and space sectors. and global defense.

A statement issued yesterday said that the summit, which will be held under the slogan "Prosperity Powered by Digital Technologies", will review the rapid transformation witnessed by the aviation, space and defense sectors in recent years, and the role of innovation and technology in the development of the business of these sectors during the coming period.

The summit will also highlight the impact of digitization and advanced technologies in enhancing levels of efficiency and sustainability in the aviation, space and defense sectors.

The summit will organize dialogue sessions to discuss the most prominent challenges and issues affecting the commercial aviation and space sector, maintenance, repair and operation operations, and areas related to defense and space.

The 2022 summit will also include new paragraphs and events, most notably the “Task Team” program, which will address the main challenges that the summit’s advisory board rated as the most pressing issues in the sector, in addition to a program dedicated to start-ups, focused on enhancing investment in new companies and technology.

The list of new events for the summit also includes the "Future Payment Systems" working group, which is concerned with providing solutions that enhance the sector's dependence on new technologies, with a special focus on investment activities and infrastructure requirements.

Summit participants will discuss the plans of the Next Generation Leaders Program, which is geared towards capacity building and skills development for students, graduates and young professionals in the aviation, defense and space sectors.
