In detail, the Ministry of Economy revealed the start of a car recall campaign for safety reasons - including 3020 Kia cars of the two “Carnival” models for the years 2006-2010, and “Sorento” models 2007-2009, in cooperation with Al Majid Motors, the exclusive local agent for cars. The ministry added that «Al Majid Motors» began communicating with the consumers of the car owners covered by the maintenance campaign to inform them of the current situation, and to book appointments to bring cars to carry out maintenance operations. The ministry also announced the start of a recall campaign that includes 1,075 Mazda CX 9 cars, manufactured between July 2014 and December 2015, in cooperation with the Galadari Automobiles Company Ltd., the exclusive distributor of Mazda cars in the UAE, according to a report. The ministry issued yesterday, the recall is due to the fact that a fuel leak may occur when filling the fuel tank due to cracking of the fuel vent hose, as the hose may be damaged due to deterioration of ozone, if the car is used at a very high temperature for a long time, and the report indicated that The company "Mazda" confirmed that there is no possibility of a fire as a result of this defect, as no accidents or injuries related to this defect have yet been reported, stressing that all repairs related to the campaign will be completed free of charge, and the Ministry pointed out that "Galadari" will. Later, by contacting its customers who own the aforementioned cars to inform them of the matter, and arranging repairs within the framework of implementing quality standards in after-sales services, noting that Galadari asked customers to contact customer service centers to coordinate repair appointments.
In addition, the Ministry of Economy announced a recall campaign for safety reasons, including 41 Cherokee Jeeps, models 2014-2017 manufactured in the United States, in cooperation with the "Trading Enterprises" company, the authorized distributor of Jeep cars in Dubai and the Northern Emirates. .
The ministry stated, in a report, that the recall is due to a defect in the transmission system, which may lead to a loss of momentum while the car is in motion and a loss of the stopping function during stability, indicating that the agent will take care of the repair process at his own expense. It will begin communicating with owners of affected vehicles to inform them of a recall to bring their vehicles, to reprogram the powertrain control unit system and electric parking brake, using updated software.
