The Ministry of Economy revealed the registration of 12,188 new trademarks in the UAE since the beginning of this year 2021 until yesterday, amid a great diversity of trademarks registered by local and foreign companies, as a result of the country's growing attractiveness as an investment and commercial center in the region and the world.
The economy indicated in a report yesterday that 2,588 new trademarks were registered last August alone, recording the largest monthly growth in new trademarks registered in 18 months and the start of the “Covid 19” pandemic, which confirms the recovery of the economy with accelerating steps, and supporting the UAE’s position as a regional and global center for investment. and trade.
She added that the registered trademarks included different sectors and fields, some of which are commodities, and the other services, as well as local companies and major regional and international companies.
In turn, the registered brands during August 2021 diversified with their concentration in important areas such as technology, pharmaceuticals, wholesale and retail trade, restaurants, development and real estate investment, automobiles, as well as telecommunications, financial services, and industries, especially metal and aluminum, banking, electronics, and asset management services. , clothing, and contracting.
