Today (18th) around 10:30 am, four vehicles collided in a chain at the entrance of Cheonggye Tunnel in the direction of Cheonggye Tunnel of Seoul Metropolitan Area 1st Ring Expressway.



It is known that three vehicles following the car collided one after another while the car in front was stopped.



Immediately after the accident, a fire broke out in two small vehicles following the accident, and the driver of the small vehicle behind the vehicle was seriously injured and taken to the hospital.



Due to this accident, lanes 1 and 2 at the entrance of the Cheonggye Tunnel were controlled, and traffic is scheduled to resume as soon as the situation such as towing the accident vehicle is sorted out.



Police believe it was not drunk driving and will determine the exact cause of the accident, including drowsy driving.
