The National Federation of Newlyweds, made up of prospective couples, once again took to the streets to protest against the government's quarantine guidelines for wedding venues.
On the morning of the 15th, 22 wedding cars with red ribbons and colored balloons were parked in the parking area of Yeouido, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul.
Banners were attached to vehicles with phrases criticizing the government's quarantine guidelines, and in each district, brides in white dresses held a one-man protest with pickets.
The members of the association who participated in the demonstration pointed out the issue of equity in guidelines for other multi-use facilities and wedding halls, and the effectiveness of easing the limit on the number of people entering the wedding hall.
Earlier, on the 3rd, the government expanded the limit of the number of people in the wedding hall from 49 to 99 on the condition that no meals were provided, but the economic burden, such as meals for hundreds of guarantees, remained on the prospective couple.
There were also voices of dissatisfaction with the failure to apply vaccine incentives.
The Federation, which has been holding truck protests and fax protests since last month, said, "The protests will continue until the quarantine guidelines at the wedding venue are reasonably improved."
