The first "member channel" of the Fifth Session of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference was held in Beijing on March 4.
Shen Jin, member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and deputy director of the Planning and Construction Department of the Beijing Winter Olympics Organizing Committee, responded to questions related to how to realize the post-Olympic value of Olympic venues.
Shen Jin said, "This Olympic Games is the first Olympic Games to fully implement this reform document after the International Olympic Committee formulated the 2020 Agenda. Sustainability is a symbolic concept and task. The five main venues of this Olympic Games are from 2008. The heritage of the Summer Olympics, the reuse of these venues is an important basis for the construction of our venues. At the beginning of the construction of all venues, the dual requirements for use during the game and use after the game were simultaneously considered, and a legacy plan was formulated at the same time. It is our goal to renovate the sports venues, build the snow sports venues, and create a new double Olympic heritage at the same time."
