China News Service, Beijing, April 13 (Reporter Yang Zhe) For ordinary people, many festivals are celebrated throughout the year.

However, for the Chinese Communist Party, there are only a handful of party festivals determined by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China in history. Among them, there is actually a "Five-Five Learning Festival."

Since its establishment in 1921, the Communist Party of China has been in an environment of arduous and fierce struggle, and the theoretical level of Marxism-Leninism in the cadre team urgently needs to be further adapted to the requirements of the objective situation.

After the Anti-Japanese War entered the stalemate stage, the situation in the base areas was relatively stable, and the whole party ushered in the opportunity to learn Marxism-Leninism.

Mao Zedong clearly stated in the report of the Sixth Plenary Session of the Sixth Central Committee of the Communist Party of China: "I hope that after our Central Plenary Session, there will be a study competition for the whole party."

In January 1940, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China issued the "Instructions on the Study of Cadres", and soon after again issued the "Instructions on the Education of In-service Cadres", and decided to use Marx’s birth day on May 5 as the learning festival, summarizing the learning experience each year and proceeding. reward.

Since then, the "Five-five Learning Festival" activities have been launched rapidly, and the situation of "eating millet and attacking theory hill" has appeared in Yan'an, and the theory study of the majority of cadres has become common practice.

For the Chinese Communist Party, the party-wide study during the Yan'an period was the first study movement to study Marxist theory on a large scale, in-depth, and systematically.

This time, from the senior leading cadres of the party to ordinary party members, the wide coverage, long time span, and high degree of attention of the whole party are unprecedented in history.

After this movement, the CCP popularized Marxism and its Sinicization theories throughout the party, laying an important ideological and talent foundation for subsequent construction and development.

Throughout the history of the CCP, learning from learning and finding ways and methods to solve practical problems has always been a successful experience in promoting the development of the cause of the party and the people.

From “turning the whole party into a big school” during the Yan’an period to “re-learning” before and after the founding of New China and at the beginning of reform and opening up; from the gradual establishment of a collective learning system by the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, to the establishment of party schools at all levels to achieve full cadre education Coverage; In every major period, in the face of new situations and new tasks, the Communist Party of China always calls on the whole party to strengthen study.

And every time such a learning boom can push the cause of the party and the people to achieve great development and progress.

In March 2013, General Secretary Xi Jinping once again explained the importance of learning to the whole party in his speech at the celebration meeting for the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Central Party School, and called on the whole party to "invigorate the learning style."

Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the collective study system of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee has been further consolidated and developed. Under the arduous reform tasks, the Political Bureau of the 18th Central Committee conducted 43 collective studies on different topics.

Since the closing of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, relevant group learning has reached dozens of times.

Today, although the May 5th Learning Festival has become history, its influence continues to this day, and the emphasis on learning contained in it has always been in the spiritual core of the Chinese Communist Party.

As General Secretary Xi Jinping pointed out: "The Chinese Communists rely on learning to reach today, and they must also rely on learning to move toward the future." (End)
