Even today (9th), flood damage continues throughout the country due to the continued heavy rain. In an ossuary hall in Gwangju Metropolitan City, the bereaved family suffered as they were submerged in the waters of the ashes. The fire department and bereaved family members mobilized gourds and buckets to drain the water throughout the morning.

In particular, flooding continued in nursing hospitals and nursing homes with elderly people. At a nursing hospital in Jeonju, Jeonbuk, rainwater overflowed and flooded through the gaps of the doors and windows that were closed tightly.

In the afternoon of yesterday, the nursing home was isolated like an island due to the heavy rain at the nursing hospital in Naju, Jeollanam-do. Water filled the nursing home, and the firefighters safely rescued 20 elderly residents and 11 workers on a lifeboat after 3 hours.

Congratulatory damage was also followed. When a barn in Yeongam-gun, Jeollanam-do, was submerged, the surprised cows ran around the barn. In addition, a barn in Gokseong-gun, Jeollanam-do, was also completely immersed in rain, and cows were caught in danger, such as climbing on a float.

Landslide warnings and warnings were issued today in 81 cities, counties and districts across the country. Residents in hazardous areas also appear to need preemptive evacuation.
