　　In 2007, due to work reasons, Yang Jianmin often conducted geological disaster inspections in the wild. When he saw the ancient Great Wall, he involuntarily wanted to take pictures.

Yang Jianmin said: "They look very majestic and full of vicissitudes. They are eroded by wind and rain all the year round. Some are not properly protected, even collapsed and no longer exist. I want to record them through light and shadow."

After retiring, he devoted himself to filming the Great Wall.

At first, he was only in his hometown of Shuozhou, and then expanded to Xinzhou and Daping. In 14 years, he traveled to more than 20 counties (cities, districts), only to photograph the Great Wall.

　　According to Yang Jianmin, it is very difficult to photograph the Great Wall. It is common to walk more than ten kilometers on the mountain a day.

Regardless of spring, summer, autumn and winter, severe cold and scorching heat, he never gave up.

Once, in order to equip the Great Wall with a beautiful sunset, he waited for three days; for the moon gate of the Guangwuming Great Wall in the vast snow, he climbed the mountain in the middle of the night...
