Today (27th), the Cheongju District Prosecutor's Office announced that it had arrested and indicted YouTuber A (25) on charges of obstruction of business and violation of the Narcotics Control Act.
Person A is accused of broadcasting with the intention of "operating illegally" without any basis by pointing a camera at a restaurant and singing practice area in Cheongju for three months from May.
Mr. A has been called a so-called 'Cheongju evil YouTuber' by posting videos of business disruptions such as quarreling with customers, phone terrorism, and profanity while walking around the local store.
On July 31, Mr. A was booked without detention on charges of obstructing business at a singing practice center in Heungdeok-gu, Cheongju.
Cheongju Heungdeok Police Station arrested Mr. A on charges of obstruction of business, insults, and violation of the Animal Protection Act.
In the course of the investigation, it was also revealed that Mr. A was using drugs at home in June.
A prosecution official said, "We have combined the cases that have been committed so far, such as obstruction of business and the use of methamphetamine, and arrested and indicted Mr. A."
