The court sentenced a 20-year-old man who illegally filmed a woman's body in a shower room in a hospital quarantined for COVID-19 treatment with a suspended sentence of imprisonment.



Today (6th), Chuncheon District Court Wonju Branch Detective 2 single (Judge Lee Ji-soo) sentenced A (21), who was charged with violating the Act on Special Cases concerning the Punishment of Sexual Violence Crimes (photographing using a camera, etc.), 10 months in prison and 2 years of probation. He was sentenced and ordered to take 40 hours of sexual violence treatment program and to limit employment at child and youth-related organizations and welfare facilities for the disabled for 3 years.



Person A is accused of illegally filming a woman's body in the shower room at Wonju Medical Center, a hospital dedicated to corona19 infectious diseases, at 9 pm on November 4, last year.



At the time, it was confirmed that Mr. A committed this kind of crime by putting his cell phone through the gap in the door under her women's shower while he was quarantined at the Wonju Medical Center after being confirmed with Corona 19.



In addition, Mr. A resets the cell phone used in the crime when the police investigation began in relation to the case.

The court confiscated the cell phone used in the crime and pointed out that "the defendant's guilt is not light, such as demanding that the victim be punished severely and resetting the cell phone related to the case."



However, he explained the reason for the sentencing, saying, "The punishment was decided in consideration of the fact that illegal filming was not distributed to others."
