A 30-year-old man who had a drunken driving accident with his 4-year-old son in a car was sentenced to probation.

The Chuncheon District Court's 3rd single criminal case (Judge Cha Young-wook) sentenced A (33), who was charged with violating the Act on Aggravated Punishment for Specific Crimes (dangerous driving) and violating the Road Traffic Act (drunk driving), to 10 months in prison and 2 years of probation. The sentencing was announced today (20th).

He also ordered 80 hours of community service and 40 hours of compliance driving classes.

On June 16, last year, at around 2:25 a.m., Chuncheon-si, Gangwon-do, was driving a vehicle near the Chuncheon Tollgate on the Jungang Expressway, and crashed into a toll booth.

In this accident, A's son B (4), who was in the vehicle with him, was injured for 4 weeks in the front.

At the time of the accident, it was confirmed that A's blood alcohol level was 0.135%, which is the level of license revocation.

The court pointed out, "The defendant was drunk and was driving in a state where it was difficult to drive normally.

He also explained the reason for the sentencing, saying, "I decided this sentence in consideration of the defendant's acknowledgment and reflection on his mistakes and the fact that he had no history of punishment for drunk driving."
