A man in his 40s was caught sneaking into an officetel where a woman lives alone.

As a result of the police investigation, it was confirmed that the man had been in charge of the sale of an officetel three years ago, and that he had come in and out several times like his own house.

Correspondent Shin Yong-sik reported exclusively.

An officetel in Seongbuk-gu, Seoul last April.

A man with a leisurely walk opens the door with a card key and enters.

A week later, a man opens the door of the same house and enters.

This time he hurries back out, then turns back and talks to someone.

A man in his 40s opened the door after Mr. B, a woman who lives alone in this house, went to work, and she ran into a friend who came to Mr. B's house to play.

[Housing intrusion victim: At that time, they said that they were the manager next door and said they were sorry that they came in by mistake.

It doesn't really make sense.]

After reporting to the police, Mr. B checked the CCTV footage for 6 months, and the results were shocking.

Since last February, Mr. A has been in and out of Mr. B's officetel as if it were his own house, only 9 times.

At about 8:20 AM, Mr. B said that after Mr. B went to work, she went into the house and she stayed for about 10 minutes and then left.

After three months of tracking, Mr. A was caught by the police.

When the officetel was first sold in 2019, he was an employee of the sales office.

[Housing intrusion victim: It was a person who had the (card) key from the time of sale.

(In my own words) I came in last year too.

I lived there for 3 years, so it felt like I was there for 3 years, so it was even more shocking.]

Mr. A did not give the owner the card key for the room after the sale was made.

After confirming that he did not live with him, it was revealed that he committed the crime while waiting for Mr. B to go to work near the house.

[Housing intrusion victim: (I) did not make a mistake in management or door control or anything like that, but to say that I have the key in the first place…

Really, this is more shocking than whoever follows it.]

Mr. B could not live in that house anymore due to anxiety, so he even moved.

[Housing intrusion victim: I just threw away all the beds and things I used for two years, and I even called a private hidden camera company and did it with my own money.] In the

police investigation, Mr. A said that it was done out of curiosity.

The police have booked Mr. A on charges of trespassing and are checking for additional crimes.
