One more patient with multi-organ inflammation syndrome in children and adolescents occurred in Korea.



The Central Defense Response Headquarters (Bang Dae-bon) announced today (31st) at a briefing on Corona 19 that "a third case of multi-organ inflammatory syndrome in children and adolescents related to Corona 19 has been confirmed in Korea."



Daebon Bang said, "Epidemiological investigations, laboratory tests, and expert meetings have been conducted on the eight people reported in Korea, and two were determined to meet the multi-organ inflammatory syndrome in children and adolescents in early October, followed by one additional A total of 3 cases were confirmed.”



The third patient in Korea was a 13-year-old girl, who was infected with Corona 19 through contact with a confirmed patient, and was discharged after entering the Life Treatment Center from September 8 to 18.



Since then, symptoms such as fever and diarrhea occurred, and he was hospitalized on the 13th of this month, and was reported as a suspected patient with multi-organ inflammatory syndrome in children and adolescents on the 15th.



"The patient is now stably recovering," said Bang Dae-bon.



This syndrome, also known as'children's disorder', has been reported in Europe and the United States since last April.



Children and adolescents with this disease usually show symptoms such as high fever, rash, and eye congestion, and in severe cases, multiple organ function damage may occur, leading to death.
