The Japanese House of Representatives was dissolved today (14th).



The Japanese government today decided to dissolve the House of Representatives in an interim cabinet presided over by Prime Minister Fumio Kishida.



Emperor Naruhito signed the dissolution protocol of the House of Representatives, and the dissolution was declared by reading the memorandum by Tadamori Oshima, chairman of the House of Representatives.



The dissolution of the House of Representatives is the first in four years and one month since September 2017, during the reign of Shinzo Abe.



As a result, the general election will be held on the 31st.



The Kishida Cabinet will be put to the test four weeks after its inauguration.
