The group BTS, who is constantly rewriting the history of popular music, will appear on SBS 8 News today (24th).

Today, BTS personally visits the news studio of SBS headquarters in Mok-dong, Seoul and has a conversation with anchor Kim Yong-tae.

This is the first time BTS has been interviewed by the media since they hit the baton from Butter to Permission to Dance and set a record for 8 consecutive weeks on the Hot 100 Billboard main single chart.

In the interview, BTS will express their gratitude to the fans along with their impressions of the great record and will also reveal their future activities.

Earlier this week, BTS' new song 'Permission to Dance' rose to number one on the Billboard Hot 100 by touching 'Butter' and baton, recording the 13th place in their career.

'Permission to Dance', which features a choreography using international sign language and a message of hope in the era of Corona, became the fifth #1 song on BTS' Billboard Hot 100.

It is the shortest record since Michael Jackson to have a fifth number one song on the Billboard Hot 100 within a year.

BTS, recently appointed as a special presidential envoy for future generations and culture, will attend international conferences such as the UN General Assembly in September as a special envoy.

Today's SBS8 News, featuring BTS, starts right after the Olympic fencing match ends.

SBS plans to quickly deliver news related to BTS' appearance through various platforms such as the 8 o'clock news and SBS News YouTube channel.
