As the spread of COVID-19 in Korea continues, the number of confirmed cases has continued across the country today.



According to the quarantine authorities and local governments such as Seoul, the total number of new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the country from 00:00 to 6pm on the 23rd was 1,131.



There were 92 fewer people than the 1,223 people counted at the same time the day before, and 42 fewer people than the 1,173 people on the 16th a week ago.



If you look at the areas where the confirmed cases were confirmed on that day, 879 people in the metropolitan area, 77.7%, and 252 in the non-metropolitan area, 22.3%.



There were no confirmed cases in Sejong out of 17 cities and provinces nationwide.



The number of daily confirmed cases recorded four digits for 109 days in a row from 1,211 on July 7th.



Looking at the main cases of infection, a total of 25 people including doctors and staff were infected with an obstetrics and gynecology department in Gangdong-gu, Seoul, and a total of 29 people were confirmed as a group infection at a nursing hospital in Geumcheon-gu.



In addition, in Taean, Chungcheongnam-do, seven foreign sailors working on three different fishing boats tested positive, and at a church in Daegu, two more were confirmed, raising the cumulative number to 15.
