In September 1927, in Sanwan Village, Yongxin County, Jiangxi Province, Mao Zedong led the Workers and Peasants Revolutionary Army who participated in the Autumn Harvest Uprising to reorganize.

Yang Hu told reporters that although the filming time of the film is not long, the preparation time is very long.
"When I was a recruit, I was listening to the Sanwan reorganization and the establishment of the branch in the company. Therefore, the historical evolution and context are basically very clear."
As a director, Yang Hu has done research on the lives and resumes of these historical figures.
"We have listed the biographies for each character. In the biographies, I capture each character's personality, different things, even his family background, what his parents do... We have done very detailed Research and research."
In his view, these historical figures are actually young people back then.

On September 25, 1927, the autumn harvest uprising troops encountered an attack by three enemy troops in Shankouyan Village.
