"To vomit": several ministers denounce a tweet from the sports betting site Winamax

The Ministers Delegate for Gender Equality, Elisabeth Moreno, and Sports, Roxana Maracineanu, denounced Sunday the "dirty communication" and "to vomit" of the Winamax betting site, after a tweet welcoming the qualification of two French clubs in the Football Champions League. "We take Europe we fuck two. #MCIOL": Saturday evening, Winamax celebrated in its own way the feat of Olympique Lyonnais, qualified in the semi-final like Paris Saint-Germain a few days more early. The logos of the two clubs are used in a photomontage accompanying the message, in reference to the Celsius title of the rap group PNL - which had not aroused controversy when it was released last year.

"Hateful and homophobic remarks must be banned from social networks!"

But Roxana Maracineanu didn't appreciate the joke, reacting at noon on Sunday: "Seriously @WinamaxSport where do you think you are? Your tweet is tossing up. @TwitterFrance Do you mind letting this kind of message pass?" "We can, of course, be content to repeat what we have always heard. We can also reflect on the scope of our public statements", added Marlène Schiappa, former Secretary of State for equality between women and men. Three hours later, Elisabeth Moreno drove the point home: "I strongly condemn this filthy and hurtful communication. "When it's a line from a rap song (NLP), no problem"

The ministers' remarks, however, were denounced by several supporters, who point to "overly indignation". "It's a quote from a song that has not moved anyone and far more media than a tweet from Winamax," recalls lawyer Pierre Barthélemy, fan of PSG. The tweet in question is not my junk, but again the hypocrisy is absolute. It is a quote from a song that has not moved anyone and much more media than a tweet from Winamax. But as soon as it touches football, it becomes a springboard for overplayed indignation.

This morning, the tweet was still online and the Winamax community manager did not seem affected by the controversy if we believe his provocative response to one of his detractors.
