Because I know the danger of drug use is very serious, on June 26, 2005 (International Anti-Drug Day), I started my first lecture, the title is "Rebirth from the Sea of Drugs".
[Explanation] Yang Weigen is an anti-drug preacher in Guangzhou, but he used to be an "addict" who entered the palace three times.
Over the years, he has devoted himself to anti-drug propaganda, and the local primary and secondary school students affectionately call him Uncle Gen.
A few days ago, the reporter visited the drug rehabilitation (rehabilitation) workstation in Jiekou Street Community, Conghua District, Guangzhou, where Uncle Gen is located.
[Commentary] Yang Weigen talked about the past, which is still vivid in his mind. In the 1990s, he was infected with heroin in the process of doing business, and since then he has started his career of drug rehabilitation with three entrances and three exits from compulsory drug rehabilitation centers.
The words of his son awakened Yang Weigen. With the help of the government and his family, he successfully detoxed in 2002.

My kids often say to me, he says, Dad, you are always taking drugs and then detoxing, and then forcibly detoxing.
Such a painful cycle, you really are the dumbest person in the world, my kid said so to me.
I think the same, why do I keep making mistakes again and again, so I reflected on myself during the year in the drug rehab center. Before the Spring Festival in 2002, I left the center.
I began to develop a never-relapse drug regimen.
[Explanation] In 2005, Yang Weigen learned that the anti-drug department of Conghua District was recruiting anti-drug social workers.
So, he wrote a letter to recommend himself, and just like that, he became the first volunteer of the Anti-drug Volunteer Team in Conghua District.
For more than ten years, Yang Weigen has been adhering to anti-drug preaching, using his own experience to warn young people to build the Great Wall of Anti-drug in the hearts of young people.

Through everyone's efforts, being able to help a person successfully get rid of drug addiction is equivalent to saving a person and a family.

After doing this anti-drug work, it is impossible for you to relapse. If you relapse, you will be ashamed of the "people of the world" and the government's cultivation of you.
[Explanation] So far, Uncle Gen has carried out more than 500 anti-drug publicity and publicity activities, affecting more than 100,000 people.
In 2018, the "Uncle Gen's Anti-drug Volunteer Service Team" was established. In addition to the police officers, social workers, and psychological counselors that the team met during the anti-drug activities on weekdays, there were also "people who came here" like him.

Drug addicts have low self-esteem, so I asked them to do this propaganda service, and I asked them to bravely stand on the stage to speak up and say how harmful the drug is.
Standing up is not a show of shame, it is to reflect the value of your life.
[Explanation] Yang Weigen emphasized that there are many people who have used drugs who have low self-esteem.
Broken families and declining labor force, Uncle Gen saw these conditions. Through his platform and the assistance of government departments, he helped drug addicts in the service team find jobs.

What are they facing?
Faced with the difficulty of finding a job, one is the lack of culture, and the second is that there is no strong labor force.
So we use our platform, such as property management and temporary insurance, to communicate with their bosses through the government, and give them some part-time jobs, and they are willing to work for them.
So I said, don't worry, if the person I introduce to do it will definitely be obedient, the boss and management don't need to tell him about anything, just tell me.
So many bosses (say), after they have worked for a period of time, (say) these people are very diligent in their work.
[Explanation] Looking up next to Uncle Gen's desk, he can see a slogan summed up by himself: Anti-drug assistance and education must have three hearts: love, patience, and perseverance;
Yang Weigen said with a smile: "I used to take drugs, but now I promote anti-drugs, and I will accompany 'drugs' all my life."

Once a drug addict, ten years of detoxification, and a lifetime of drug addiction.
Heart "poison" is the most difficult to quit.
But as a staff member, we must do this to communicate with him and treat him as a friend, a brother, and a relative.
He will communicate with you about any difficulties and problems encountered.
I want to find a way to help more drug addicts get rid of drug addiction and give back to the society through my own platform or work.
