The Abu Dhabi Festival 2021 unveiled a series of Ramadan evenings, which include a group of special events that sail the crowd on a spiritual and cultural journey, during the period from this 20 to the second of next May, through its digital platforms and accounts on social networking sites.
A distinguished elite of artists and creators of various nationalities will participate in the evenings. The American-Lebanese actress, Misa Qaraah, returns to the 18th edition of the Abu Dhabi Festival, through a show entitled "Doaa."
The Egyptian vocalist Mahmoud Al-Tohami will also participate, for the second year in a row, with a show entitled "The Call of Love", accompanied by the vocalists Muhammad Tariq and Wael Al-Fashni.
The evenings include a group of young Saudi talents, who will perform under the supervision of the composer, the soprano and academic Dr. Heba Al-Kawas.
The series of events, which fall within the program of activities of the Abu Dhabi Festival 2021, under the slogan “Human brotherhood, sophistication and hope,” includes a digital performance with the participation of a group of artists and creative people, for more than 25 songs and invocations of 11 poets and writers, performed by eight singers and singers accompanied by 60 musicians.
For her part, the founder of the Abu Dhabi Culture and Arts Group, founder and artistic director of the Abu Dhabi Festival, Hoda Ibrahim Al-Khamis, said: “We seek, through Ramadan evenings, to transmit a message of hope and recovery, and to promote the values of human encounter and solidarity in light of the (Covid-19) pandemic.”
