<Anchor> The

problem of poor food service in the military has come to the fore again. This time, a unit of the army provided only kimchi and laver to the soldiers who were quarantined due to the Corona 19 quarantine.

Reporter Kim A-young reports.

rice, kimchi, and packaged seaweed are placed on a plastic plate.

This is a photo that a soldier from the 5th Engineer Brigade under the 5th Army Corps in Pocheon, Gyeonggi-do, reported to his SNS account saying it was a dinner menu on the 2nd.

They were quarantined due to COVID-19 quarantine measures, but the food in the quarantine facility was poor.

The soldier claimed that the menu had roast chicken in soy sauce, but the quantity was insufficient and many, including himself, couldn't eat it.

The unit explained that it was a situation where the preferred menu fell out quickly as it was self-dispensing to the soldiers in the integrated isolation room.

The supervising executive took action, but the quarantine room and the restaurant were separated, and it took time to prepare, so this happened before additional servings.

The unit said that it would check the distribution system at the quarantine facility and convey its deepest condolences to the soldiers.

However, it has been argued that this is not the first time this has happened.

Also, rice, wrapped seaweed, and side dishes that look like donuts are placed on a plastic plate.

The informant who introduced himself as a soldier who was quarantined last month in the same unit introduced a picture of the dinner menu on the 5th of last month.

Even after a month has passed, he said he was still disappointed with the poor food service, but the Army said it had nothing to say about the successive revelations.

This year, the Ministry of National Defense announced comprehensive measures such as competing to procure food ingredients as a series of exposures to poor food service this year.
