"Pickled cucumber" with ketchup for 6200 US dollars!

Recently, an art gallery in New Zealand sparked a sensation on the Internet for displaying an unusual artwork, a slice of pickled cucumber stuck to the ceiling of the art gallery, at a price of 10,000 New Zealand dollars, equivalent to 6,200 US dollars.

This thought-provoking piece of art, "Pickle" by Australian artist Matthew Griffin, consists of a slice of pickled cucumber smeared with ketchup taken from a cheeseburger.

The artwork was described as a "provocative gesture" by the gallery.

Sydney's director of fine arts, Ryan Moore, said the creativity has value.

Of the work on display at the Michael Leight Gallery in Auckland, Moore added: "In general, it is not artists who decide whether what they make is art.

But we as a society collectively choose to use it or talk about it.”
