Singer Seung-jun Yoo (Steve Yu) wrote an open letter to Foreign Minister Kang Kyung-wha asking for permission to enter the country.

On the 27th, Yoo Seung-joon wrote on his SNS, "I am Singer Yoo Seung-joon, Minister of Foreign Affairs." He stressed that he had to allow entry bans, saying, "I didn't keep my promises with fans to enlist in Korea, but at least I didn't violate the military service law.

Yoo Seung-jun wrote this because Minister Kang Kyung-hwa said at the National Assembly's Foreign Affairs and Transportation Affairs Committee on the 26th that "the government has decided not to allow visa issuance again after reviewing related regulations." After leaving Korea in 2002 before enlisting in the military, Yoo Seung-joon gave up his Korean nationality and gained US citizenship, causing excommunication. Accordingly, the Military Manpower Administration requested a ban on entry to the Ministry of Justice and a decision was made to ban entry. Since then, he has also refused to issue a visa, although he has not yet tried administrative lawsuits to enter Korea several times.

Yoo Seung-joon said, "It has been 19 years since I left the Korean entertainment industry. I was considered to have acquired foreign citizenship for the purpose of evading military service for 18 years and 8 months, and I was also denied entry. "I think this is a serious violation of human rights and a judgment that is not fair to fairness," he asked for permission to enter the country.
