The Emirates Gender Balance Council discussed developments in developing its future strategy, which is inspired by the next fifty-year plan in the country, announced by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, which aims to make the Emirates the best countries in the world in All domains by 2071.
This came during the second meeting of the Council for 2020, chaired by the Vice-President of the Emirates Council for Gender Balance, Mona Ghanem Al-Marri, during which the activities of the Council were reviewed during the second quarter of this year, and a number of issues on the agenda were discussed, including the developments of the draft budgets Supporting gender balance, a directory of global best practices in gender balance that is being worked on in cooperation with the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, and the proposed legislative amendments in cooperation with a number of ministries and federal agencies, within the work of the Women, Business and Law Report Committee issued by the World Bank Group.

As part of the efforts made to develop this guide, its contents and importance were reviewed within the participation of the Vice-President of the Emirates Council for Gender Balance as a keynote speaker at the "High-Level Political Forum of the Councils of the Sustainable Global Development Goals", which was held on 14 July last, organized by the Permanent Mission of the UAE to the nations United in New York, the World Government Summit, and the Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Authority.

During the meeting, the Council reviewed the developments of the budgets that respond to gender, through the presentation made by Younis Khoury, in which he addressed the concept of gender balance in this type of budgets and the contents of the study carried out by the Ministry of Finance, in coordination with the Emirates Council for Gender Balance to limit the budgets allocated .
