'Cannes Park'.

It is the nickname of director Park Chan-wook, who received the Jury Award for 'Oldboy' in 2004 and the Jury Award for 'Bat' in 2009.

This time, he won the Best Director award for the movie 'Decision to break up', writing the history of the most awards at Cannes for a Korean.

He also has a close relationship with actor Song Kang-ho, who won the Best Actor Award for the movie 'The Broker' directed by Hirokazu Kore-eda.

[Song Kang-ho / Actor (Interview at the time of the release of 'Bat' in 2009): (With Director Park Chan-wook) Humanly, we are very close, always like this...

.]

The film that director Park made famous for is 'Joint Security Area JSA', which was released in 2000, when he first met actor Song Kang-ho.

Since then, director Park and actor Song Kang-ho have worked together in a total of three films, including 'Vengeance is Mine' in 2002 and 'The Bat' in 2009.

They were even invited to Cannes together as a 'bat'.

[Park Chan-wook/Director (2009 Cannes Film Festival 'Bat' Award): Making a movie,

I was always happy enough just to make it.

I want to share this honor with my closest friend and best colleague, actor Song Kang-ho.]

Actor Song Kang-ho stepped on the Cannes stage seven times, starting with 'Monster' in 2006 and up to 'Broker' this time.

His films have been invited to the competition four times, which is the best record for a Korean actor.

Three years ago, when 'Parasite' was awarded the Palme d'Or, it was also selected as a strong candidate for the Best Actor award.

Since Khan usually doesn't give multiple awards for one work, director Park said immediately after receiving this award, "I was able to win the award together thanks to actor Song Kang-ho and I came to another movie."

The two also served as judges for the Cannes Competition in 2017 and last year respectively.
