"Emirates Basketball" beat Saudi Arabia in the Gulf Games

The UAE basketball team beat its Saudi counterpart, by four points, with a score of (67-63), in a match that brought them together today, Tuesday, on the second day of the basketball competitions in the third Gulf Games, currently being held in Kuwait and extending until 31st of this month.

The national team largely secured its qualification to the semi-finals, by achieving its second consecutive victory in the preliminary round, after its victory on Monday over Bahrain (71-66) on the opening day of the tournament.

To ensure its victory over Saudi Arabia, the team needed to obtain the absolute advantage in the results of the first and second quarters (24-9 and 15-13), after the Saudi green came close to returning to the match by taking advantage of the results of the third and fourth quarters by (22-14 and 19-14). .

The national team will complete the preliminary round on Friday with the host’s meeting with the Kuwaiti team, before concluding its matches in this round next Saturday evening by meeting the Qatari team.
