The Ministry of Economy announced that the intellectual property sector achieved a qualitative leap in the number of works during the past year 2020, after recording a 70 percent growth compared to 2019, which represents a new achievement added to the list of national achievements of the United Arab Emirates and consolidates its global position as a preferred and incubator for innovators, creators and pioneers. The ministry indicated that the number of intellectual works has so far reached 24,317 intellectual works, but it recorded its highest level ever during the year 2020, after its number reached 2772 intellectual works, while the number of intellectual works during 2019 reached about 1632 works, recording a growth of 32 percent. percent, compared to 2018, when the number of works was 1,233, while the number of intellectual works registered since the beginning of this year until now has reached about 900.
