The opening celebrations of "Dubai Summer Surprises" this year include light shows in two prominent landmarks, namely the Dubai Festival City Mall, through the "Imagine" show, and the Dubai Mall and Burj Khalifa through the Dubai dancing fountain show, which will be to the tune of a song Dubai is another planet.

Challenges

On the challenges that accompanied the preparation for this season of “surprises”, the Director of Events Management at “Dubai Summer Surprises”, Suhaila Ghobash confirmed to “Emirates Today”, that through “surprises”, and when the launch was launched, last year, immediately after the stone was broken Due to the “Corona” pandemic, there were no comments with the authorities concerned with security and safety, and this high professionalism in the face of all requirements for preparing for events continued with the Dubai Shopping Festival and the Dubai Food Festival, as the events are flexible, and they pass on the Events Insurance Committee and the Disaster Insurance Committee. , to ensure that there are no defects.

Regarding the events and dealing with the large number of the audience, Suhaila Ghobash stressed that each event has a specific procedure, and a number of specific people, as the procedures are followed, and in the event of non-compliance in any event with the procedures, it is stopped in order to motivate everyone to comply.

She expected that the summer will be busy, and the demand for events will be great, due to the difficult travel procedures for many countries, in addition to that large markets have returned to normal, and events will be organized in these markets that have resumed their commercial activity with the aim of attracting the public.

The new edition of "Dubai Summer Surprises", organized by the Dubai Festivals and Retail Corporation, presents many new events and activities for citizens and residents who chose to spend their summer vacation within the country, in addition to visitors coming from abroad, while the event highlights Dubai's position as an enjoyable tourist destination. It is open and safe, as all participating destinations, shops, malls and tourist attractions follow important health and safety measures, including adherence to social distancing and wearing masks at all times.

Residents and visitors of Dubai will meet with stars from the Arab world in concerts on the Dubai Opera stage, the most important of which are the live concerts of Ragheb Alama and Faya Younan, and two concerts will be held at Coca-Cola Arena during the days of Eid al-Adha by the Pakistani artist, Fateh Ali Khan.

As for the entertainment shows, they are directed to all family members, with a focus on entertainment activities for children, as "Modhesh World" will return with the renewal of the character, at the Dubai World Trade Center.
