Dubai Islamic Bank has pledged to contribute an amount of 3.5 million dirhams to the benefit of the "Donate Your Life" initiative, which is adopted by "Emirates Today", in cooperation with the Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences, and the Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities in Dubai, with the aim of treating struggling patients with kidney failure.

The initiative aims to support 38 patients with kidney failure and kidney transplantation for them in the Emirate of Dubai, including 14 children and 24 adults, and includes various nationalities, including 13 citizens, one Gulf patient, three Arabs, one from the Comoros Islands, and 20 Asians, at an amount of 22 million and 670 thousand AED, by motivating the private sector, businessmen and community members to adopt this initiative, and provide the necessary support to the target group.

The bank’s contribution covers kidney treatment and transplantation for seven patients who are included in the initiative, in addition to providing the necessary medication, and therapeutic follow-up to them after the operation, and commencing their treatment at Mediclinic Al Madinah Hospital in Dubai, and 15 patients are still waiting for their treatment expenses at an amount of nine million and 760 thousand dirhams. .

This initiative comes within the newspaper’s initiatives in the blessed month of Ramadan, as the volume of donations to the initiative, since its launch so far, has reached 12 million and 910 thousand dirhams, sufficient to treat and transplant the kidneys to 23 patients.
