"Dubai Airports" received a delegation of representatives of three Israeli carriers, "El Al, Israir and Arkia," at its offices at Dubai International Airport.

The delegation’s visit comes after the signing of a number of bilateral agreements between the UAE and Israel, and the recent announcement of the launch of regular commercial flights linking the two countries.

"We look forward to the positive opportunities resulting from the signing of historic agreements between the two countries, especially in the field of aviation, and the opening of air travel comes as a first step towards facilitating travel, tourism and joint trade," said Vice President at Dubai Airports, Jamal Al-Hay.

Al-Hai added, "Dubai airports are distinguished by the services they provide to all airlines around the world and to their passengers. Therefore, during the meeting, we focused on understanding the requirements of the three airlines so that we can provide similar services to them and our common passengers."

During the meeting, which was attended by a number of senior officials at Dubai airports, the two teams discussed preparations for launching new and direct air services between Dubai and Tel Aviv, which are scheduled to begin next December, including two daily flights by Al Al, which operates the Boeing 787 aircraft.
