"Abu Jabal" shines and leads Egypt to the quarter-finals of the African Nations Cup

The Egyptian national football team (grandchildren of the Pharaohs) joined the convoy of qualifiers for the quarter-finals of the 33rd African Nations Cup, currently being held in Cameroon, by defeating its Ivorian counterpart 5-4 on penalties today, in the round of sixteen of the tournament after the end of the original and extra time in a goalless draw.

The match witnessed the brilliance of the Egyptian goalkeeper "Abu Jabal", who entered as a substitute for goalkeeper El-Shennawy in the extra two halves, after the latter's injury, to shine and block a penalty kick, which had a direct role in Egypt's qualification, while the star Mohamed Salah signed the final qualification kick for Egypt.

The Egyptian team will meet in the quarter-finals with its Moroccan counterpart, who defeated Malawi 2-0 yesterday in another match in the round of sixteen of the tournament.

The original and extra time ended in a goalless draw, after the two teams failed to take advantage of the opportunities they had over 120 minutes, so the two teams decided on penalty kicks.
