One of the wonders of this time is that if you wrote (Abu Ivanka) on Google, you would immediately see a picture of the US President, Donald Trump!

You will not get the same result if you write (Abumalia) while looking for Obama, nor (Apollora) or (Abujina) if you were looking for George Bush Jr., and forget it if you were looking for Bill Clinton.

Why did Donald Trump become (Abu Ivanka)?

Because of the policies of the president who accepted him, Trump returned to the traditional Arab allies, that is, he turned on the policy of his predecessor on its head.

The Arabs took pride in the nickname, and it was said that the Arabs at the dawn of Islam were quick to adopt surnames in order to avoid the ugly names of their enemies, so the nickname is an honor and pride, and if the Arab wants to be proud of a friend, he initiates his name calling, and upon getting to know a new person, often the first question after knowing the name is: Abu From?

The nickname (Abu Ivanka) came out to us in May 2017 after President Trump's visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, his meeting with Gulf rulers, and his pledge to repair relations that were strained during the era of the previous administration, the name came as a result of Gulf Arabs' pride in Trump's position, personality, and behavior towards the countries of the region.

The Gulf-American relations are historical, strategic and vital. They have been tense in other eras and separated in others. They are tense at different points of view and break apart upon agreement, as is the case with any other strategic relationship.

Gulf-American relations did not reach the state of warmth that they experienced in the era of (Abu Ivanka) except once during the rule of President George Bush the Father, and his honorable stance on the brutal invasion of Kuwait, and then we saw in the news bulletins pictures of Kuwaitis accepting the flag of their country and the flag of the United States, and some of them also launched George Bush's name on their children after the late president, and these are all very humane reactions that reflect the extent of gratitude felt by the oppressed when the injustice is removed from him.

These reactions were repeated again when (Abu Ivanka) visited the Gulf, and if we compare the two cases, we find great similarity in the reaction, but the first was stronger and more expressive, due to the gravity of the situation and the accompanying war.

(Abu Ivanka) came to fix a relationship that did not deserve the tension that occurred, as he adopted honorable positions from our point of view, we Gulf Arabs and their allies in the region, and turned against the point of view adopted by the previous administration, a view that was not preceded in the history of relations.

Then the Gulf Arabs felt grateful again and called the new ally "Abu Ivanka", pride and in appreciation of his positions. "Abu Ivanka" lost the elections, but he will remain a friend of the Gulf, and this is a free democracy that we respect and the world respects its results, and we respect the loss of the elections for the benefit of Clinton.

We wish the President-elect, Joe Biden, all success in the Oval Office, and it is not permissible to adopt a prejudice and say that he will implement the policy of the previous administration, especially after the issuance of reports that confirmed that he did not agree with it on all matters.
