And she cautioned that if anyone receives an email inviting him to pay for his purchases using QR codes after the basic payment process has failed, he must contact the company to verify, with the need not to call the company number attached to the message, but rather use the contact numbers shown on the company's official website.

And she directed a set of cyber tips to users, including the need to constantly communicate with anyone who sends a QR code, and if the recipient of this code knows that person sending it well, and the need to make sure that he sends the code.

And she warned against the use of QR codes from unreliable sources, calling for caution when entering login information, such as personal or financial information from a site that was moved to via a QR code, and if the user gives any fraudster his username and password. , he should change them, and make sure to assign different passwords to each of the personal accounts.

The authority has identified a set of tips to maintain data security, including choosing a complex password, activating the two-factor authentication feature, and not sharing the password with others.

fake links

The Abu Dhabi Digital Authority confirmed that the accounts are verified before communicating with them. Some accounts may be set up in an attempt to impersonate other people, to deceive the user, and achieve their malicious goals.

She pointed out that all sharing platforms come with pre-set privacy options, and people often think that these settings are appropriate and never try to modify them, and they must be modified by activating additional security options, such as 2-FA double verification.

She pointed out that the cyber attacker can send links that simulate real links, to deceive the user, and when clicking on them, these links install malicious software on the user's device, so it is necessary to check the links always before clicking on them, and to avoid those anonymous messages.
