In Yamaguchi Prefecture, five men and women in their 30s and 90s in Iwakuni City, Shunan City, Hofu City, and Ube City, and four people related to hospitals in Ube City where a cluster of infected people occurred. Nine people have announced that they have been newly confirmed to be infected with the new coronavirus.
In Yamaguchi Prefecture, Shimonoseki City has also announced one infection, and the total number of confirmed infections in the prefecture is now 996.
