On March 1, at a press conference held by the Information Office of the State Council, Dong Zhiyi, deputy director of the Civil Aviation Administration of China, said when discussing the issue of the Boeing 737MAX go-around, the plane’s go-around needs to meet the three principles proposed by China’s civil aviation, namely, the design of the aircraft. The modification must be approved by airworthiness, the pilot must be fully and effectively trained again, the investigation conclusions of the two accidents must be clear, and the improvement measures must be effective.

Dong Zhiyi said that, judging from the previous situation, the major safety concerns raised by the Civil Aviation Administration of China have not yet been fully resolved. Therefore, the technical review has not yet entered the certification test flight stage in China.
