Al Ain Zoo has launched a new free adventure called "Parade of the Penguins", which aims to entertain visitors to the park by watching the penguins walk in groups and individually in front of the audience in a yard designated for this show. 

Mayas Ahmad Al-Qarqaz, director of the animal welfare department at the Al Ain Zoo, said: “Penguins are birds that are distinguished by kindness, fun and beauty of movement, in addition to their wonderful way of running. In it, visitors will see Humboldt penguins outside its exhibition, and they will walk freely on the lawn with joy and freedom.

"There are many reasons for us to launch this experience, foremost of which is our constant keenness to present distinctive experiences and adventures for all our visitors and lovers of the Al Ain Zoo, who are accustomed to constantly renewed experiences, in addition to the winter atmosphere, which is an important and helpful factor to get the penguins out of their exhibition and give them a chance. Enjoy the low temperatures that suit it and resemble its natural environment. "

He pointed out that this experience is also an educational aspect of the importance of protecting endangered animals, as Humboldt penguins are considered among the birds at risk of extinction according to the IUCN Red List, so Al Ain Zoo is keen to familiarize the community with this type of birds closely, from Through the stories of animal breeders and their caring supervisors, answering all visitors' inquiries and questions related to Humboldt penguins and presentations covering all aspects of their life and behavior and supporting our mission of nature conservation and wildlife conservation.

The director of the animal welfare department in the zoo stated that visitors of all groups and ages can enjoy the parade of penguins daily, starting from January 15 at 4:30 pm without the need for prior reservation, but it is sufficient to attend at the specified time in the bird display area to enjoy the experience and take memorial photos, within Precautionary measures to prevent COVID-19, and the security and safety guidelines followed at Al Ain Zoo, to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all visitors.
