January 17, 2021 Pfizer has reduced the new vaccine delivery by approximately 165,000 doses.

This was announced by the press office of the Extraordinary Commissioner for the emergency, Domenico Arcuri, in a press release which reaffirms that Pfizer's decision was "unilateral" and that it "unilaterally redistributed the doses to be delivered to the 293 administration points on the Italian territory ".

"As a result, and in a completely arbitrary way," in the "next week for the 562,770 doses planned, 397,800 doses will be delivered," said Arcuri.

A decision "not shared or communicated to the offices of the Commissioner, will produce an asymmetry between the individual regions".

Six regions without vaccine cuts

Abruzzo, Basilicata, Marche, Molise, Umbria and Valle d'Aosta are the only regions that will not have cuts in the distribution of Pfizer-BioNTech vaccines.

This is what emerges from the distribution of doses (now considered on 6 each vial and no longer 5) made known by the office of the extraordinary Commissioner Domenico Arcuri.

Emilia Romagna, Lombardy and Veneto with about 25 thousand doses are the most penalized regions, then Lazio with 12 thousand and Puglia with 11,700.
