<Reporter> The

first death was a man in his 50s who was admitted to a nursing hospital in Ilsan, Gyeonggi-do.

Yesterday (2nd day), I received the vaccination at 9:30 am, and 11 hours after the vaccination, I complained of chest pain, nausea, and shortness of breath.

I received first aid at the hospital, but died at 7 o'clock yesterday morning after about 22 hours of vaccination.

The second fatality was a male patient in his 60s in a nursing hospital in Pyeongtaek, who was vaccinated on the 27th of last month. After 33 hours, fever and muscle pain appeared.

My condition improved for a while, then worsened, and I died yesterday at 10 am.

Both of the deceased suffered from chronic diseases and were subject to vaccination recommendations.

Health authorities are conducting epidemiological investigations to determine whether the vaccine and death are causal.

They explained that they would take a vaccine with the same serial number, what symptoms they had, what the test results were, and whether there were other factors that led to death.

The Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (KCDC) advised not to avoid vaccination, saying that no cases of death from vaccination have yet been confirmed even in countries where vaccination was first administered.
