Düsseldorf (dpa / lnw) - The number of tourist overnight stays in NRW fell by almost three quarters in November as a result of the corona restrictions.

Compared to November 2019, it fell by 72.6 percent to 1.2 million, as the State Statistical Office announced on Friday.

The number of guests at the North Rhine-Westphalian accommodation providers even fell by around 85 percent to 330,324 during the period. From January to November 2020, the number of overnight guests in North Rhine-Westphalia fell by around 52 percent.

The number of overnight stays was 27.5 million in the eleven months, around 44 percent below the previous year's level.
