As the infection of the new coronavirus spreads in Tokyo and the surrounding three prefectures, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government is in line with the three prefectures, including the advancement of requests to restaurants to shorten business hours by 8:00 pm. We are adjusting the packing with the intention of taking measures to maximize the effect of suppressing.

The governors of Tokyo, Saitama, Chiba, and Kanagawa requested on the 2nd to promptly consider issuing a state of emergency based on the Special Measures Law, while the Minister for Economic Revitalization Nishimura requested restaurants to shorten their business hours. I asked for things like moving forward by 8 pm.

According to the people concerned, the city is considering moving the business until 10 pm, which is requested to restaurants, etc., ahead of schedule by 8 pm, but the same is true for the three neighboring prefectures where the infection is spreading. It means that we are discussing whether it is possible to deal with.

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government would like to take measures to maximize the effect of controlling infections in 1 metropolitan area and 3 prefectures by combining multiple measures to curb the flow of people as well as advance business hours.

When requesting advancement, it is necessary to consider the amount of cooperation money according to each situation, and the city will proceed with coordination with the other three prefectures and will announce the specific contents soon.
