  United Nations Secretary-General Guterres issued a statement through a spokesperson that day, strongly condemning the attack and urging the immediate and unconditional release of the kidnapped female student.

He said that attacks on schools and educational institutions are serious violations of children’s rights and broader human rights, and schools must be safe places.

  Guterres called on the Nigerian government to do its utmost to bring the perpetrators to justice and reiterated that the United Nations will continue to support the Nigerian government and people in their efforts to combat terrorism, violent extremism and organized crime.

  The 75th UN General Assembly President Bozker posted on social media expressing shock at the kidnapping of Nigerian female students.

He said: "Children anywhere should not have the fear of going to school. I hope the girls are safe and sound and will be released soon."

  UNICEF Representative in Nigeria Hawkins said that UNICEF severely condemned the attack, urged the perpetrators to immediately release the kidnapped female students, and called on the Nigerian government to take measures to ensure the safe release of the hostages and to ensure the safety of all Nigerian school students .

  According to reports, armed groups have repeatedly attacked schools and kidnapped students in Nigeria.

The police in Zamfara State of Nigeria said on the 26th that an unidentified group of militants attacked a public girls’ high school in the Taratamafara district of the state in the early hours of the same day, and 317 students were kidnapped.
