“Testing works have become mechanical testing, not suitable for cutting the knowledge of students, giving an additional load to both teachers and schoolchildren,” Strokova noted.

Also, according to the parliamentarian, "thousands of Russian teachers have already voted for the abolition of the All-Russian test works, all of them signed under various petitions."

“In connection with the foregoing, I ask you to consider the possibility of canceling the All-Russian Testing Works (VPR), since they cannot be the final form of assessing the cross-section of a student's knowledge and the work of a teacher,” the text of the appeal says.

In turn, the first deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on Education and Science Gennady Onishchenko, commenting on this initiative, emphasized in an interview with RT that if this kind of verification work is canceled, an alternative must be offered.

“What is offered in return?

I understand - to cancel or make it better, to improve, but simply to cancel - and then what remains?

When I studied, I myself was not very happy about any exam, any dictation.

There must be some kind of control mechanism ... We must offer something, let's do something else.

At the very least, we need to discuss this issue, listen to our methodologists, our ministry, ”the deputy explained.

Earlier, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin approved the specifics of the final certification for school graduates in 2021.
